My garden is located half-way between Cincinnati and Dayton in Liberty
Township, Ohio. This is on the northern edge of USDA Zone 6.
Situated on 0.6 acres, the garden has three main growing areas.
There is a large pond for growing aquatic and emergent plants.
Most of the property is in full sun with average well drained soil ideal for growing prairie plants.
A small section is located in dry shady areas ideal for growing certain woodland wild flowers.
In addition to wildflowers I also grow native trees and shrubs.
One of my favorites is Ninebark, which looks spectacular in full bloom
in the springtime.
Native plants are a magnet for wildlife. I'm especially fond
of those plants that attract butterflies and songbirds.
